Sabrina Liu founded the Pittsburgh chapter of the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance (APALA) in early 2019 after years of advocacy. Sabrina is an immigrant who battled through an abusive work environment prior to working for USW. She leads efforts in the labor movement to fight the hate against Asian Americans that has been rampant and has volunteered to ensure marginalized communities get access to the COVID-19 vaccine and helped secure over $65,000 in cash assistance and reusable masks. In 2020, she helped increase census responses and educated workers in precarious situations about their rights. Her Get out the Vote efforts focused on hard-to-reach communities with in-language materials, engaging more than 600 people in the 2020 election cycle and increasing early voting.

An optician at Visionworks, a subsidiary of Highmark Inc., Jason Holman is guided by a passion for serving others. He began working with the homeless in 2009, and he has been active with the Health Care Center for the Homeless since 2011, helping to expand their vision services to become the largest provider for the underserved in Orlando.
